Schedule

36 hours per week
Day and night shifts available
Every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NBRC
NRP
PALS
3 years of Level 2 NICU experience
Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience

Preferred Qualifications

STABLE certification

Unit Details

36-bed Level 3 NICU
Typical staffing is 2 respiratory therapists per shift
Uses Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A oscillators, Mallinckrodt nitric oxide, and Vapotherms

Key Responsibilities

Attend high-risk deliveries
Manage ventilators, including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
Administer surfactant
Obtain and interpret blood gases
Administer nitric oxide
