Interventional Radiology/Cardiology RN

Location: Hermiston, Oregon

Overview

Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures, including angiography, embolization, cardiac catheterization, and other minimally invasive interventions. The role may be on call for the Interventional Unit.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Oregon
• BLS
• ACLS
• IV Certification
• Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• At least 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab
• Conscious sedation training
• Monitor role experience
• Certifications specific to areas of clinical specialty, such as RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale
• IV certification
• Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing/circulator care, including medication administration, sterile technique support, and patient advocacy
• Monitor patients during moderate sedation and respond to complications
• Serve in scrub role for interventional and catheter-based procedures
• Serve in monitor role for hemodynamic and procedural monitoring
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, verification, timeout, sheath pulls, and vascular access management
• Support department operations, including supplies, room turnover, cleanup, and equipment handling
