PACU Nurse

Location

Hilo, Hawaii

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii.
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience).
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year.
BLS issued by American Heart Association.
ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience in a(n) Critical Care setting.
ED - Emergency Department experience.

Preferred Qualifications

PALS from the American Heart Association is recommended and may be required for specific registered nurses and travel nurse positions.
Other specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific positions, including NIHSS and TNCC.

Schedule

Variable shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours.
Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
On-call 0-3 times per month, including 8-hour nights and 24-hour weekends/holidays.

Assignment Details

Care for patients pre-op, in Phase I recovery, and in Phase II recovery.
Unit/dept equipment includes Meditech, PCA pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair PAWS warmers, HP monitors, and Phillips monitors.
Flu vaccination or an approved medical or religious exception is required before contract start.
Must arrive the Thursday before start for employee health on Friday.
