Medical Surgical

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Amarillo, Texas
13-week contract
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
36 or 48 hour option
Unit accepts first-time travelers
Patient ratio: 1:6
Float required to units of equal or lesser acuity
Med/Surg patient population with telemetry monitored in a centralized unit
Free-floating charge nurse and house discharge nurse that floats across all departments
50-mile radius rule; no local candidates

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Certifications

ACLS, as applicable
PALS, as applicable
NRP, as applicable
CHEMO, as applicable
TNCC, as applicable
MAB, as applicable
NIH Stroke Certification, as applicable
CPI, as applicable
