Description
ICU RN
Overview
- Travel assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
- Unit: ICU
- Main Campus
- 25-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 2:1
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Strong Telemetry Skills
- Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
- Chest tube experience
Preferred
- Open Heart experience
- Temporary pacing
- Swan-Ganz Catheter experience
Unit Details
- No LNAs or PCTs
- Around the clock mid-levels, Trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapist
- PT/OT available during day shift
- Floating is on a rotation basis, with travelers floating first
- 12 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts per month
- Schedule is completed by department leadership around RTO
- Meditech Expanse documentation system
Procedures Performed on Unit
- Intubation
- Central line and arterial line placement
- Chest tube placement

- Level 2 Trauma Center
- Three Star STS Open Heart Program
