Location: Charleston, West Virginia Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night (4x10 hours), 22:30 to 07:00 Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 2-12s (6:30p-7a) and 2-8s (10:30p-7a) Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekend Requirement: Yes, some On-Call: Not required Block Schedule: Open to accommodating, depending on department needs

Facility and Unit

• Type: Short-term acute care; Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
• Total Staffed Beds: 855
• Department: One Philips scanner
• Caseload: Average 20-25 patients per 24 hours, counted by department rather than per tech
• Coverage: Traveler would never work alone
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Parking: Free for travelers
• Orientation: Two days, Thursday and Friday

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in West Virginia
• MRI Technologist with 2 years of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (MR) or ARRT (R)
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Experience in an Emergency Department setting
• IV insertion skills

Eligibility and Travel Terms

• First-time travelers accepted if MRI registered with 2 years of experience
• Locals: 100-mile radius rule; 75-99 miles considered case-by-case with facility approval
• No restrictions on returning to work (RTO)
• Does not float to sister facilities
• Does not float within scope to meet facility needs
• Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after their last date worked as permanent
