Registered Nurse MS/Tele

• Location: Reidsville, North Carolina
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Day shift, 3x12s, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (36 hours/week, 12 hours/day)
• Unit: MS/Tele, Department 300

Assignment Details

• Float required. All travelers are subject to float to any facility in the system.
• Must work at least one day of each winter holiday: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• IV medication drips may be administered on Department 300: Heparin and TNA.

Patient Population

• Acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Diagnoses include: acute/chronic respiratory illness, post-op general surgery, post-op general GYN surgery, post-op total knee and hip replacements, orthopedics, acute and chronic pain, active GI bleeding, CHF/pulmonary edema, diabetes (hyper- and hypoglycemic conditions), renal failure, and drug overdose
• Excluded patient populations as listed in the source: patients with a CIWA score below 7, suicidal patients, arrhythmia, radioactive therapy, uncontrolled or new-onset seizures, and stable COVID patients

Requirements

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with Epic
