Registered Nurse – ER

Overview

Location: Florence, Oregon
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week
Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
Scheduling: Block scheduling may be available

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oregon
2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
Emergency Department experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic

Pre-Start Requirements

Background checks: 7-year background check (within 60 days of start), Social Security verification, education verification, and federal exclusion checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG). Washington candidates also need a state patrol check.
Drug test: Required within 30 days of start. Must include standard panels; marijuana testing is required only for Oregon and Alaska candidates.
Physical exam: Required within 1 year of start
TB: Negative IGRA or 2 PPDs within 1 year of start, plus a TB questionnaire
Immunizations: Proof of immunity or vaccination (or facility declination) for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B; Tdap vaccine or declination; flu vaccine or declination during flu season
Fit testing: N95 fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually for onsite roles
Color blind exam: Required
RespSafety clearance: Required for onsite candidates, updated annually
Orientation: Facility orientation test must be completed before start with a 100% score
