Description
RN - Outpatient Surgery
Location: Bradenton, Florida Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Facility Designation: Level II Trauma Center
Unit and Staffing
- Unit: Outpatient Services, Pre Op, Phase 2, Preadmission Testing, Infusion Center
- Building: Main Hospital
- Beds/Bays: 26 pre-op bays, 8 endo bays
- Staff: 27 per day
- Patient Ratios: Pre-op 1:1, Phase 2 3-5:1, Infusion 5:1
- Typical Procedures: Assist anesthesia with blocks
- Hiring Focus: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters
Schedule
- Shifts: Day shift only, with 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
- Unit Hours: Open 0500-2100
- Call: Variable call schedule
- Weekends/Holidays: Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
- Scheduling: Per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Outpatient Surgery experience (1 year), obtained within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Preoperative experience
- Infusion experience
Other Information
- Dress Code: RN scrubs are navy blue
- Parking: Parking garage available
- Culture: Team-oriented unit with approachable surgeons and anesthesiologists. The unit is busy, and staff are described as collaborative and focused on excellent patient care.
