Description

Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 to 16:30 (5 x 8 hours, 40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, no call, no weekends

Role Overview

Fetal cardiac sonographer performing fetal echocardiography only, not fetal ultrasound
Full-time, with in-depth training provided
Duties include producing and evaluating echo images, giving interpreting physicians an oral summary of results, preparing a preliminary written report, and reviewing results with reading faculty
Teamwork includes assisting with teaching fellows, visitors, and new staff, and collaborating with the fetal radiologist, MFM physicians, and surgical teams during fetal procedures
May participate in prenatal cardiovascular clinical research
Surgical involvement includes on-call availability 24/7 for emergent obstetric procedures, using sterile technique

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related field
ARDMS Pediatric (PE) certification
RDCS-FE certification (ARDMS fetal echocardiography)
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Pediatric echocardiography experience of 2 years, with experience within the last year
Experience on Samsung Hera W10 fetal cardiac systems
Fetal echocardiography experience
