RN Emergency Dept

Employment Type: Travel Location: Plano, Texas Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36

Unit Details

Unit: Emergency Department (ED), 1st floor
Beds: 38, including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment area
Care Team: RN, advanced paramedic, EMT, unit secretary
Patient Ratios: Vary with acuity and volume
Equipment: Standard emergency/trauma
Procedures Performed: Certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, accredited burn
Floating: None. May cross-train at another facility in the system.

Schedule

Self-scheduling
4 weekend shifts per month
On call, if any

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
One year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs (branded preferred)
