Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

Overview

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 40 per week (5 x 8-hour days)

Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 15:30
Shift start times may vary between 0700 and 0900
Weekend rotation to support coverage
On-call rotation may be requested based on operational need

Required Qualifications

Echo Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Minimum one year of experience working with cardiac patients
Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Certifications Listed

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), issued by the American Heart Association. The source says to check the unit description to determine whether it is required.

Compliance Requirements

Background: Background check completed within 90 days before the start date, covering the past 7 years, including a Wisconsin Caregiver Screening within 90 days of start. Wisconsin BID form required. EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks on hire and monthly thereafter.
Health: TB screening (IGRA within 12 months, two-step skin test, or other accepted option) and TB questionnaire updated annually. Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) and varicella immunity documentation required. Hepatitis B vaccination series with positive titer, or a facility-specific declination form.
Flu vaccine: Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (09/21 to 04/13). Medical exemptions require a medical provider's form and client approval. Religious exemptions can be approved by the agency.
Drug screen: Standard 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
