Registered Nurse – Cath Lab

Schedule

• Shift: Day, 5 x 8 hours (8:00 to 16:30)
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Call: Required (discussed during interview)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
• 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Conditional Certifications (Required Status Determined by Agency)

• PALS (AHA or ARC accepted)
• NRP
• NIH Stroke Certification (check unit description to see if required)

Background and State Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Sex offender, SSN trace, and county searches for the last 7 years of residence, work, and school
• PATCH (Pennsylvania statewide), for Pennsylvania placements
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start
• Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting, with results dated within 5 years of start
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search, which cannot be pending at start
• Government-issued photo ID
• I-9 and E-Verify

Health and Compliance

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually, signed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, and stating the traveler is clear to work with or without accommodations, free from communicable disease, and habituated
• TB screening: QGold/TSpot within 90 days of start (preferred), or 2 PPDs (one within 90 days and a second within 12 months); chest X-ray within 2 years of start if applicable. TB questionnaire within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Measles (Rubeola), mumps, rubella, and varicella: positive IgG titer or 2 vaccines, with official lab reports for titers
• Hepatitis B: series of 3, declination, or positive titer
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption during flu season (declinations not accepted)
• COVID: 2 vaccines or medical/religious exemption
• Respirator fit test within 1 year of start, completed onsite and not allowed (3M 1860 or 3M 1870+ masks; PAPR may be requested after two failed tests)
• RespSafety clearance letter, required prior to start

Facility Requirements

• Facility modules: HIPAA, DEI, infection control, OSHA, safety/security/emergency preparedness, sexual harassment, and SOGI (all travelers)
• Suicide precautions module and quiz for RNs, with a score of 80% or higher
• Competency exam, as applicable to profession and specialty
• Confidentiality agreement, job description, and personal appearance policy review before start
• Badge photo meeting specified background and framing requirements
