RN - ICU
Location: Alexandria, Louisiana Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- Unit: Surgical ICU
- Beds: 9
- Staff: 36
- Shift Staffing:
- Day: Charge RN, Unit Secretary, RNs
- Night: Charge RN, RNs
- Patient Ratio: 2:1 (can increase to 3:1 based on needs)
- Equipment: Bedside monitoring, IABP, CRRT, Impella
- Floating: MICU, telemetry, med-surg
- On-Call Requirement: None
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- ACLS
- BLS
- SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year (1 year of experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardiac ICU experience
- Surgical ICU experience
Typical Procedures
- Central line insertion and care
- Chest tube insertion and care
