MRI Tech/RAD

Location: Seattle, Washington Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel/Contract Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 4 x 10-hour shifts (7:00 to 17:30), 40 hours per week
• Varied start times and variable days of the week
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required: traveler picks up 8 to 10 call shifts per month
• Does not accommodate block schedules

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in Washington (Washington state RT license)
• 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT certification with MRI Advanced Certification
• Experience working with Neuro patients
• Experience working with Orthopedics patients
• Experience working with Trauma patients
• Inpatient setting experience
• Emergency Department setting experience
• Neuro MRI procedures
• Ortho MRI procedures
• MRA procedures
• Body MRI exams
• IV insertion skills
• Epic experience

Clinical Details

• Works in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Approximately 7 cases per day
• Scanners: one 3T Siemens PRISMA Fit and one older 1.5T GE in the hospital; one 1.5T Siemens Avanto in the outpatient clinic
• Floating within scope is available to meet facility needs
• Local candidates accepted, with no radius restriction

Pre-Start Requirements

• Background: 7-year criminal background check completed within 45 days of start, including a Washington state criminal history search, federal exclusion checks, and sex offender search. Education verification and diploma or transcript if the degree cannot be verified.
• Health and immunizations: Physical within 1 year of start; drug screen (9-panel) within 12 months; TB test (QuantiFERON, T-SPOT, or 2-step PPD) within 90 days of start, plus annual TB questionnaire; Tdap within 10 years; measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity (titer, 2 vaccines, or declination); hepatitis B immunity (titer and full series, or declination); COVID vaccination or declination; flu vaccine or declination during flu season (09/29 to 03/31)
• Respiratory protection: Mask fit test within 12 months of start, using a 3M 1860, 1860S, or 1870+ mask
• Competencies: Color blind test, updated annually starting 5/4/2026; competency exam
• Badge photo: Professional, waist-up, forward-facing, against a plain background
• Orientation: Online modules (about 2 to 3 hours) must be completed by the Thursday before start; no orientation testing required for allied techs
• Documents: Two references; signed facility forms, including license acknowledgment, policies and procedures acknowledgment, code of conduct, equipment safety, health history, job description, and personal data form
