Overview

• Location: Johnston, Iowa
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (18:00 to 6:00)
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend

Patient Population and Equipment

• Patient Diagnoses: Cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, birth injury, motor vehicle accident injuries, SMA, Trisomy 21, Rett syndrome
• Special Equipment: CPT machine, Volera, MetaNeb, cough assist, ventilators, BiPAP and CPAP, tracheostomies

Required Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (3 years of experience, including experience within the last year)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Health and Vaccination Policies

• Flu and COVID vaccines are recommended but not required. Candidates who decline must sign a declination form and wear a mask in patient care areas during flu season (10/1 to 3/31). Patient care areas include all space on Inpatient, including hallways and conference rooms; only breakrooms and offices are non-patient care areas.
