Location: Johnston, Iowa Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics, Pediatrics

Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:00 to 6:00)
• 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend

Experience

• 3 years of experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (3 years of experience)
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Respiratory Therapist experience

Clinical Details

• Special equipment: CPT machine, Volara, MetaNeb, cough assist, ventilators, BiPAP and CPAP, tracheostomies
• Patient diagnoses: Cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, birth injury, motor vehicle accident injuries, spinal muscular atrophy, Trisomy 21, Rett syndrome

Health and Safety Requirements

• Flu, COVID, and seasonal vaccines are recommended but not required. Staff who decline the flu vaccine must sign a declination form and wear a mask in patient care areas during flu season. Patient care areas include all inpatient spaces except breakrooms and offices.
• Staff who fail the fit test may use a PAPR, which is available onsite.
