This travel sonography job is ideal for a confident Hospital Sonographer, Echo Technologist, or Cardiac Sonographer with strong hospital-based scanning experience. You’ll support patient care by performing advanced studies, including pre-TAVR TTEs and TEEs, while helping patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the exam process.

• Position: Travel Hospital Sonographer / Echocardiography Sonographer
• Setting: Inpatient hospital / cardiac imaging environment
• Location: Morristown, NJ 07960
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/31/2026
• End Date: 11/29/2026
• Schedule: Thursday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,150 - $2,310

Job Requirements

• Several years of dedicated echocardiography experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• Strong hospital-based scanning experience in acute care and cardiac imaging environments
• Primary background in echocardiography preferred over broad multi-modality experience
• Experience performing advanced studies such as pre-TAVR TTEs and TEEs
• Ability to review prior reports, images, and patient charts with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong patient communication skills with a focus on comfort, safety, and satisfaction
• Ability to maintain records, logs, and exam documentation with precision
• At least 1 year of experience required; this role calls for several years of specialized experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and explain echocardiography procedures in a clear, reassuring manner
• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures with a focus on quality imaging and patient care
• Monitor patients throughout the process and help reduce pre-testing anxiety
• Set up and operate ultrasound equipment efficiently to support timely procedures
• Review prior reports, images, and chart information before and during studies
• Ensure complete and accurate imaging studies using proper techniques and hospital protocols
• Notify the reader appropriately when studies are complete and ready for review
• Maintain exam records, logs, inventory, and assigned area supplies
• Perform additional related duties as assigned in support of the imaging and inpatient care team
