Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience required
• Prior experience with stereotactic biopsies, breast interventions, and diagnostic breast imaging preferred
• Current NJ DEP X-ray License required
• ARRT certification in Mammography required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and current
• Completion of required mammography continuing education hours and documented training
• Documented training in stereotactic biopsies and 2D/3D imaging preferred
• Working knowledge of MQSA standards, breast imaging protocols, and image quality best practices
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic procedures in accordance with state, federal, and department standards
• Complete diagnostic mammograms, bone density studies, and breast biopsy procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
• Review patient records and ensure all required information is available for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain patient safety standards, including proper identification and infection control practices
• Provide clear, compassionate explanations of procedures to help ensure a positive patient experience
• Follow ALARA principles and all departmental policies and procedures
• Document exams and complete computer functions accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment
• Support team success by assisting with training, mentoring, and annual competency completion as needed
• Adhere to all required licensure, certification, and continuing education standards
