We are seeking a dedicated Sleep Technologist / Sleep Tech for a 13-week hospital-based opportunity in New York City, New York. This on-site role in the 10016 Manhattan area is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare professional passionate about diagnostic sleep studies, patient monitoring, and delivering high-quality clinical care in a busy hospital setting. Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Sleep Tech, Sleep Technologist, or in a similar clinical healthcare role
- Experience working night shifts and managing patient monitoring responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism
- Strong understanding of sleep study procedures, polysomnography, patient safety protocols, and clinical documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the testing process
- Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot sleep study equipment during overnight polysomnography studies
- Observe and document patient activity, physiological data, and study results accurately
- Maintain clear, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in accordance with hospital standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to support quality patient care and efficient workflow
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures at all times
