Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of cytology experience required; 5 years preferred
• ASCP Board Certification as a Cytotechnologist/Cytologist
• Active New York State Cytotechnologist/Cytologist license
• Current proof of passing PAP PT testing for this calendar year, or proof of scheduled testing this calendar year
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality standards in a clinical laboratory setting
• Ability to meet onboarding and screening requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Examine cytology specimens with accuracy and consistency to support timely diagnostic services
• Review slides and identify findings according to established laboratory standards and protocols
• Maintain high-quality workflow in a busy hospital cytology setting
• Collaborate with pathology and laboratory team members to ensure reliable patient care support
• Document observations and results clearly while following all compliance and quality procedures
• Contribute to a professional, patient-focused laboratory environment
