Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490–$2,670
• Location: East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: November 29, 2026
• End Date: February 28, 2027
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: Approximately 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; approximately six weekend shifts during the contract
• Call Requirement: None indicated
• Floating: No floating requirement indicated
• Department Overview: Approximately three rooms with an average of about eight patients per day

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Hospital Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology experience required
• Current ARRT(N) certification or CNMT/NMTCB certification
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with starting and maintaining IVs
• Knowledge of the safe storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Experience performing a broad range of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and cardiac imaging studies
• Epic experience preferred
• Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• PET certification or experience preferred

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging and Nuclear Cardiology procedures for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Prepare patients, administer radiopharmaceuticals within scope of practice, and monitor patients throughout examinations.
• Complete and maintain accurate imaging documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Perform or support studies such as gastric emptying, HIDA, MUGA, bone scans, lung perfusion and ventilation/perfusion studies, renal studies with Lasix, thyroid I-123 uptake, and myocardial exercise/rest or pharmacologic stress imaging.
• Apply appropriate radiation-safety practices when handling, storing, and disposing of radioactive materials.
• Provide compassionate patient education and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Maintain imaging quality and follow department procedures for equipment operation, infection prevention, and patient safety.
