This position requires 12-hour night shifts, with 36 hours scheduled per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work primarily with telemetry and cardiac patients in a 16-bed unit, managing adult and geriatric populations. Responsibilities include closely monitoring cardiac rhythms, interpreting and documenting findings twice per shift, and collaborating within the care team to ensure effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document cardiac rhythms, ensuring accuracy in patient data.
• Create and implement care plans based on patient assessments.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in verbal de-escalation techniques as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and state regulations.

Required Experience

• 3 years of nursing experience, with a strong focus in Cardiac/Telemetry units.
• MUST have Epic experience.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State nursing license.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA).
