This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shift: 08:00-17:00. At least 2 weekend days per month are required.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist will be part of a dedicated team in an inpatient rehabilitation unit comprising 15 beds. This role involves evaluating and treating patients with diverse needs, particularly focusing on swallowing assessments and rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Meditech for documentation.

Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations and implement treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders.
Collaborate with PTs, OTs, and other team members to provide comprehensive care.
Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies for patients as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using Meditech.
Provide patient and family education regarding speech and language therapies.

Required Experience

Hospital experience is a must.
Inpatient rehab experience is preferred.
Familiarity with CARE scoring is advantageous.

Certifications/Licensure

Current BLS certification is required.
