Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult patients in critical care settings. Responsibilities include managing ventilators and other forms of respiratory support, performing extubation and intubation assists, and ensuring quality documentation through Allscripts.

Responsibilities

• Administering high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, and CPAP therapies.
• Performing tracheostomy care and management.
• Collecting sputum specimens as required.
• Managing alarms and troubleshooting mechanical ventilation issues.
• Participating in patient care assessments and plans.
• Documenting all care activities accurately in Allscripts.

Required Experience

• 1+ years of recent experience in adult critical care settings.
• Experience with electronic documentation systems, specifically Allscripts.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is not acceptable.
• BLS certification required.
