Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Must work all holidays. No call or floating. A maximum of 3 days RTO may be requested.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical unit. This position involves managing a patient ratio of 6:1 in a 36-bed unit and requires effective communication skills and teamwork. Knowledge and experience with the MEDHOST electronic medical record system are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and execute care plans.
- Document patient care accurately in the MEDHOST EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health management.
Required Experience
- Valid RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC).
- Two years of nursing experience, with travel experience preferred.
- Must have experience in medical-surgical nursing.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
