Schedule/Shift

Shift: Night 4x12 - 1900 to 0730, with weekend coverage required every other weekend and subject to change based on need.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a Cardiac Telemetry unit providing care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. The patient population includes those with cardiovascular issues such as sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI), unstable angina, and coronary artery disease. The RN will also administer IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation therapy.

Responsibilities

• Administer vasoactive drugs and antiarrhythmic therapies.
• Perform thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation, and cardioversion.
• Conduct thoracentesis and monitor cardiac telemetry.
• Manage patient assessments and vital signs through non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
• Document patient care using EPIC charting system.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with the EPIC EMR.
• At least 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry or a related field.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active South Carolina RN license.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
