This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires the treatment of two patients per hour, allowing for diverse and comprehensive care within that timeframe. Generally, each session lasts 45 minutes or more. Initial evaluations and safety assessments require a full hour of one-on-one care.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing therapy services, ensuring functional treatment programs are designed for effective community reintegration.

As an educator, the Physical Therapist serves patients, families, students, and colleagues. Emphasizing safety, the role involves promoting and following safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document care provided in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
• Participate in student programs, providing an educational environment and completing evaluations.
• Maintain compliance with state practice acts and continuing education requirements.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback for service enhancement.

Required Experience

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Certifications/Licensure

Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Colorado and maintain licensure in good standing.
