Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves delegating and directing therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring effective return to community activities. As an educator, the therapist will provide guidance to patients, families, students, and coworkers. Responsibilities also include maintaining compliance with organizational standards, promoting safety, and participating in performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans focused on patient discharge.
• Document care in a clear and timely manner following clinic policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in educational programs for students and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Create and actively pursue a professional development plan in line with personal and organizational goals.
• Adhere to the State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure with continuing education requirements.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and performance improvement methodologies.

Required Experience

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing.
