Day Shift, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30), with every other weekend and holiday required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (Tele RN) will provide high-quality patient care in the telemetry unit, manage cardiac telemetry, and assist with various patient procedures. The unit offers interdisciplinary support from Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy, and the RN will be responsible for monitoring patients with diverse cardiac conditions.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care for 1:5 ratios, potentially up to 6 with low acuity.
- Administer medications and treatments according to the care plan.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for effective patient management.
- Assist with documentation in the Epic charting system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience required.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Travel experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active MD RN license or Compact License required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- NIHSS certification required.
- CPI certification is required but can be obtained during orientation.
