Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekends!
Job Description
The Wound Care RN plays a critical role in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence-related conditions. This position involves both acute and rehabilitative patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve healing outcomes and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Caring for patients with acute and chronic wounds.
- Managing pressure injuries, ostomies, fistulas, and surgical drains.
- Evaluating and addressing continence disorders.
- Providing education and consultation to staff, patients, and families regarding wound care.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Wound Care RN experience.
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
- Current BLS certification required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Wound Care Certified (WCC) and/or WOCN (Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurse) certification preferred.
