This position requires Night shifts, working 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

As a Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will provide superior patient care to adults and geriatrics in a high-acuity telemetry unit. This role involves monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will utilize the Cerner charting system for documentation and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' cardiac telemetry data and vital signs.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Provide care for patients with a range of conditions, including CVA, renal failure, and substance withdrawal.
• Implement and maintain infection control protocols and isolation precautions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
• Perform necessary interventions for critical patients, including managing cardiac drips and blood product administration.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry or similar acute care setting.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active PA or Compact RN license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
