ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Plattsburgh, New York.

Assignment Duration
This is a 16–26-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
This position requires a Night Shift schedule, working 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day/Eve. A minimum of every other weekend will be required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will play a critical role in providing patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. This position may require floating to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as needed to meet staffing demands. The right candidate must have tele and some ICU/critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Administer insulin drips, cardiac drips, and start IVs as necessary.
- Prepare patients for and assist with post-cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Utilize Epic for documentation and patient management, experience within the past 2 years is required.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience is required.
- Some ICU or critical care experience is mandatory.
Certifications/Licensure
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications are required.
- NIHSS certification is required prior to the start date.
- A valid New York RN license or proof of application must be included in the submission packet.
