Assignment Duration
This is a 11-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Shifts are 4x10 hours, from 06:30 to 17:00, with rotating days as needed from Monday to Friday. On-call duties are required, including weekends and holidays.
Job Description
This position involves working in a high-volume cardiac interventional center. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for scrubbing cath lab cases independently. The ideal candidate will have experience with various cardiac procedures, including IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, Structural interventions, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman.
Responsibilities
- Independently scrub cath lab cases.
- Collaborate effectively within the interventional cardiology team.
- Utilize equipment, including GE Innova IGS and EPIC for documentation.
- Maintain sterile techniques and prep access sites for procedures.
- Monitor and respond to hemodynamic changes during procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6-12 months of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- Strong ability to scrub interventional procedures independently.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact state.
- ARRT-R and/or RCIS certification.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
