This position requires a Day shift schedule with on-call requirements during evenings and weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab will be responsible for providing critical care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. This includes supporting the use of advanced cardiac devices such as balloon pumps and Impella. The RN will also monitor patients during and after the procedures while ensuring proper administration of cardiac medications and emergency medications as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, including left heart and right heart procedures.
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients’ sedation levels.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias during procedures.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 18 months of RN experience is required, with 2 years preferred.
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures and patient care is essential.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Florida or a pending license is accepted.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS from AHA or American Red Cross is required.
