Day shift, Monday through Friday, with flexible start and end times communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role involves executing the rehabilitation plan, which includes manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system.
• Report the effectiveness of treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders.
• Participate in required meetings, patient care conferences, and training sessions.
• Supervise and support students as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Required Experience

• 1+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant licensure is required.
