Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a critical care setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing complex patient conditions, employing advanced clinical knowledge, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing support for daily activities.
- Assess patients’ conditions, document observations, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Implement and evaluate nursing care plans based on patient assessments and dynamics.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience within the Intensive Care Unit specialty is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Required: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
- Preferred: CCRN certification.
- Experience with Cerner is preferred.
