This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
10-hour Day shift, 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Surgery unit at the Duluth Outpatient Center. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience within the surgical specialty. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient's vital signs, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, and working collaboratively with surgical teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist during surgical procedures.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and evaluate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care.
Required Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the surgical specialty is required.
Certifications/Licensure
Current AHA BLS certification is required.
