Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient response to treatments.
• Assist in surgical procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize the Epic charting system for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Patient ratio experience is beneficial.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
