This position requires a Day Shift from 07:00 to 19:00, guaranteeing 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit provides critical care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. This unit consists of 26 beds and utilizes equipment such as mechanical ventilators, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, and EKOS. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accountability in their actions and have a strong focus on patient care in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Perform procedures including intubation, bedside ECMO cannulation, chest tube insertion, bedside tracheostomy, and central line insertions.
• Monitor and manage various advanced equipment and technologies.
• Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the EMR system.

Required Experience

• 1-2 years of ICU experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS and BCLS certifications are required.
