Job Description

The Emergency Department at Mission Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse. This unit has 101 beds and typically maintains a patient ratio of 4:1, which may rise to 7:1 for behavioral holds. The department is known for teamwork and for serving a culturally diverse community. The ideal candidate will employ the AIDET framework and provide respectful care while keeping patients informed throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care in a high-volume Emergency Department.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner system.
• Engage in real-time coaching and feedback among team members.
• Float as needed to various sections within the Emergency Department.

Required Experience

• 2 years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Previous experience with HCA preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before the start date.
• ENPC certification within 90 days of hire.
