Schedule/Shift

4x10s, Days, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Includes 1 required late shift per week, 1 call shift per week, and 1 call weekend every 6 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and ensuring their safety and comfort. This role requires proficiency in patient assessments and familiarity with Epic charting. Critical care training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and provide appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and manage pain effectively.
• Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately in Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a PACU or critical care setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must possess a current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
