This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
4 ten-hour day shifts, with call coverage responsibility, approximately 10 shifts per month. Weekend commitment required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab will work alongside a dedicated team, providing comprehensive care for adult patients undergoing various cardiac procedures. The unit features 7 suites with 2 cath labs, equipped for a range of interventions. Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC and Dynamics System (Xper), is essential, as well as the ability to support and perform various cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults in the Cath Lab setting.
- Assist in performing cardiac procedures including PCI, ICD placements, and pacemaker insertions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications as per protocol and maintain accurate patient records.
- Participate in on-call duties and weekend rotations as required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab setting.
- Experience with IABP and IVUS is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse license in West Virginia.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
