Schedule/Shift

Hours are from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a minimum of 3 days a week. Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients. The position requires a competent understanding of emergency protocols and the ability to maintain nurse:patient ratios of 1:8-10. You will utilize the EPIC charting system while performing assessments, triage, and care interventions for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment and intervention for pediatric emergency patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and accurately interpret cardiac monitor strips.
• Perform triage duties as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and care in EPIC.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in an Emergency Department.
• Pediatric Emergency Department experience is required.
• EPIC experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State RN license is required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required.
