Night shift, 3-12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery plays a critical role in providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns. Working in a collaborative environment, the nurse will support the labor and delivery process, assist with medical procedures, and ensure a safe and comforting experience for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and wellness of mothers and infants.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, recognizing and responding to complications.
- Assist with preparing patients for delivery and facilitate a positive birthing experience.
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members to streamline patient care.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Labor and Delivery.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Must possess a permanent Ohio RN license or a Compact State RN license.
