Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts per week, Day Shift from 0630 to 1900, with required call.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with the surgical team, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires proficiency in the use of the EPIC charting system and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures.
• Assist in patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions throughout the procedure.
• Educate patients and their families regarding surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately in the EPIC system.

Required Experience

• Current and active New York State Nursing License in good standing.
• Experience in an acute care setting, specifically in the Operating Room is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.
• Preferred: American Nurses Association endorsed certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses certification.
