Schedule/Shift

This position involves 5x8 hour days, including on-call, callback, and holiday shifts as per unit needs, with approximately 5-7 call shifts per 7-week time block (2-4 of these days will be weekend call).

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist will demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and consistently producing high-quality diagnostic images in the Interventional Radiology department. The ideal candidate will work cooperatively with all department members to resolve issues expediently and display flexibility, teamwork, and compassion when interacting with patients.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist the Radiologist during procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of all radiology equipment and report malfunctions to management.
• Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner, utilizing downtime effectively to assist colleagues or with room turnover.
• Maintain medication security and ensure access is limited to authorized personnel only.
• Adhere to patient privacy rights and confidentiality regulations in interactions with patients.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in Radiology, with a focus on Interventional Radiology preferred.
• Current New York State License (or able to obtain prior to start).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT certification is required.
• VIR (Vascular Interventional Radiology) certification is preferred.
