Schedule/Shift

7A-7P, 12-hour day shifts, guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Job Description

The unit features 33 beds and delivers care to a diverse population of medical-surgical patients including telemetry, pre-post surgical patients, and those with cardiac, respiratory, and gastrointestinal conditions. The Registered Nurse will utilize advanced equipment such as bladder scanners, vein finders, and IV sonosite while documenting patient care in the Meditech EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support medical needs in accordance with established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and communicate patient status to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.

Required Experience

• Current Texas RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Training in CPI/SAMA is advantageous.
