Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
The shift is from 06:30 to 15:00, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekend hours are required on an every other/as needed basis, and call requirements include one night per week and one weekend per month.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will provide care in a Level III Trauma facility, specializing in various surgical procedures. This role requires dedication to the surgical patient population, serving all ages. The documentation system in use is Meditech.
Responsibilities
- Circulate for diverse surgical specialties including General, GYN, Vascular, Ortho, Urology, and Podiatry.
- Utilize the da Vinci Robotics system for surgeries as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in Meditech.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting, with demonstrated competency in the listed specialties.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse license in West Virginia.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
