Day shift: 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist Assistant will provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders. This role involves utilizing evidence-based practices under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, administering various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled treatment interventions such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment minutes accurately in the electronic documentation system.
• Participate in patient care conferences and other required meetings.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding cognitive and physical disorders.
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.

Required Experience

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current COTA license is required.
• Active State Licensure/Registration in Oklahoma when applicable.
